Notes from Scott: Roland Summit sits above the St Paul Pass Tunnel (or Taft Tunnel) in Idaho's Bitteroot Range. The tunnel was
the high point along Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (CMStP&P)'s Pacific Extension to Puget Sound, referred to
as the Milwaukee Road. The tunnel is now part of the Route of the Hiawatha bike trail, which runs 15 miles mostly downhill from
its origin at the East Portal just west of I-90 exit 5 to the St Joe River. The trail is named for the Olympic Hiawatha, a train
which ran "one of the most scenic railway routes in America" from 1947 to 1961.
