What to Bring
Mandatory:
If you don't have the following mandatory items when you arrive, go back home and get them.
A good helmet
Eye protection or helmet face shield
Full-fingered gloves
Over-ankle boots
Long pants
Valid driver's license
Current registration and license plate
Proof of insurance as required by the laws of the state in which your motorcycle is registered.
Recommended, in no particular order:
Rain gear, cold weather gear, hot weather gear. ATGATT.
Extra drinking water. Be safe, stay hydrated.
Tire repair kit and method of inflation
First aid kit
Safety flares or strobes
Cell phone
Colorado road map
Pens, pencils, and highlighter
Accurate clock
Snacks
Tool kit
Duct tape (the handyman's secret weapon)
Tire air gauge
Flashlight
Spare fuses, headlight, and tail light bulbs
Loud Pipes Just Irritate People
Quiet pipes. Rally participants are strongly encouraged to avoid excessive exhaust noise. The reputation of motorcyclists is much more positive if we don't act like jerks and ride though peoples' lives assaulting their eardrums.
